WRAP Club

As demand for our WRAP Club is very high and space is limited, please do not cancel any existing childcare arrangements you may have.  Complete the registration form and the school will contact you once a place has been allocated.

Welcome to Firfield Primary School's WRAP Club

    Welcoming

    Rewarding

    Active

    Play

Since the breakfast club started in November 2008, it is proving very popular with children and parents alike and has gone from strength to strength. We also provide afterschool provision too. The club aims to offer:-

  • a safe, nurturing environment for children prior to the start of the school day giving them the opportunity chat to their friends and play;

  • alternative provision for your children at affordable prices;

  • help with homework and other curriculum based activities if required; and

  • provide breakfast or snack to those children attending.

The WRAP Club is available to our school children aged from 4 to 11 years.  The opening times for our breakfast club are from 7.30am to 8.50am when children are taken to their classrooms or are supervised on the school playground.  Breakfast is until 8:15am to ensure sufficient time for the children to finish before the start of school.   The cost of the club is £5.00 per child, per day.

The afterschool club runs between 3:30pm and 6:00pm. Children in Key Stage 1 will be collected from their classroom at the end of the day and Key Stage 2 children are encouraged to be more independent by waiting for the staff outside the library area. The session costs £8.50 per child per day and children will be provided with a light tea between 4:30pm and 5:00pm.

To book a place at either club, please download and complete the relevant registration form and return to the school office. Please note, spaces are limited and it may not always be possible for us to provide a place.

Alternatively, if you already use the clubs and want to book additional sessions, please call or text the WRAP club mobile (07879 291217) or call the school office on 01332 872216.

Feel free to look through the policies for more information. On registration, you will be asked to sign up to the terms and conditions set out within these.

As part of the club, we support building independence as the children get older. We set up some breakfast times so that older pupils, such as Year 6, can butter their own toast and add their own toppings of choice. Staff are always on call to help but the pupils love to get involved and start to have their own responsibilities and achievements helping as though they are one of the WRAP team.

We periodically hold themed breakfast mornings for the children.  These have included a berries morning, tropical fruit morning and a bring your favourite toy and we try to encourage the children to try foods, fruits and flavours they may not have experienced before.  We are hoping to introduce new themes such as make your own cereal bar, teddy bear picnic, create a fruit smoothie, favourite DVD and colouring morning but we are always open to suggestions!

Here are some pictures from the tropical fruit morning, mmmm!
