Following work by the Headteacher and School Business Manager alongside the Senior Transport at Derbyshire County Council, the school has achieved their Bronze Modeshift STARS certificate surrounding the safe travel to and from school. In order to be able to achieve this award, the school has implemented initiatives to reduce the number of cars coming into and around the school. This has included bus travel and promoting the health benefits of walking, cycling and scooter to school. We will continue to push alternative modes of transport into school other than coming via a car.
