  • Free Family Fun Day - West Park 30 August 2023

    The Rotary Club of Long Eaton are inviting our children and parents/guardians to attend their Free Family Fun Day on Wednesday 30th August 2023. The day will take place at West Park in Long Eaton from 12pm to 4pm and will include lots of exciting free activities such as the bouncy castle and face painting.   • Cooking Club Fun!

    Over the past few weeks, pupils have been enjoying their time at cooking club and learning new skills as they go. Pupils have prepared and cooked meals for themselves and for their families to taste. Themes so far have included Greek, Mediterranean and Italian. It is great to see the pupils developing not only their independence but their kitchen skills too.

  • Year 6 Residential - Whitehall 2023

    On Wednesday 21st June to Friday 23rd June 2023, Year 6 pupils went on their residential trip and stayed for two nights at Whitehall. Pupils were split into groups and enjoyed lots of different activities during their visit. Pupils were put through their paces and enjoyed activities such as rock climbing, canoeing, rope walking and team building exercises. Well done to all pupils - your determination and teamwork skills shone threw!

  • PTA Summer Fair - Enter our Raffle!

    Tickets are currently being sold for our PTA Summer Fair raffle via Parentpay. Tickets will also be available to buy on the day. It is £1 per ticket and the winners will be announced during the fair this Saturday 1st July 2023.

  • Severn Trent 'Super Sewers' Workshops

    Today pupils had a visit from the team at Severn Trent to discuss the importance of ensuring water is not contaminated through every day tasks. The pupils and staff both really enjoyed the presentation, and thoroughly enjoyed the workshops where pupils got to get involved in learning about what could affect the cleanliness of water. Thank you to Severn Trent for coming out to our school to raise awareness amongst our pupils.

  • Welcome to the 'Firfield Hog House'

    One of our members of staff have created the above Hedgehog House to become a new addition within Johns Garden. Our staff have been working hard to add to Johns Garden so that pupils can experience a garden full of growing plants and wildlife, and even seeking donations from companies to keep improving the space.   • Kings Coronation Celebrations

    On Friday 5th May 2023, we celebrated the Kings Coronation during the afternoon. All pupils enjoyed a Coronation Party where they sat outside together on the playground and had some afternoon party food. It was lovely to celebrate all together, and there was definitely a lot of dancing involved!

  • Mayday Gala 2023

    Thank you to one of our Year 6 Teachers, Mrs Lawson, for organising the Mayday Gala. Parents and the local community all thoroughly enjoyed the day and felt it was so great to have Firfield children bringing the tradition to life. Firfield pupils enjoyed the maypole dancing and showcased their routine, having worked hard on it over the weeks leading up to May Day.
