  • TTRockstars 2024

    To celebrate TTRockstars Day this year, Mr Tolson has created our very own Firfield rock festival! There are tents, hay bales and even a boombox speaker playing music throughout the day. TTRockstars is an excellent way of getting students to do practice their times tables. We hope all students love the fun activities throughout today.

  • PCSO Visit - Bike Secure Mark

    We arranged for the local PCSOs to visit the school on Friday 26th April to assist us with our goal to make the school more sustainable and reduce the amount of traffic from cars around the local area. It was a successful visit where lots of parents were able to bring in their child's bike to have a security mark added to it. We look forward to seeing more and more of our pupils cycle into school.

  • Comic Relief Total 2024

    Thank you to all pupils for supporting Comic Relief through buying red noses from school. A big thank you to the Year 4 team for arranging a bake sale and to raise funds for Comic Relief - it is safe to say that the sweet treats didn't last long at all!

    Well done to everyone at Firfield. As a school we managed to raise a whopping £965.69 for Red Nose Day 2024!

  • World Book Day 2024

    This year for World Book Day pupils shared a story with their class and had a discussion surrounding the books. We led up to the day with the Book Fair at school and groups from classes had time to go into the Reading Lodge for some quality reading time. It was lovely to see pupils have fun by dressing up as their favourite book characters.

  • Author Alan MacDonald Book Signing

    Today, on Wednesday 7th February 2024, marked the official opening of our new Reading Lodge. We welcomed the well renowned children's author Alan MacDonald into school to do the honours of cutting the ribbon. All pupils thoroughly enjoyed the occasion as we took all pupils outside to be part of the opening ceremony. It was a great day for all!

  • Preview of the New Reading Lodge

    The recently built cabin has now been transformed into the Reading Lodge, a wonderful library space for all pupils at Firfield to enjoy quality reading time. With a few final touches to go, the Reading Lodge will be officially opened in February with a visit from a special guest! We love that this new dedicated library area will encourage and inspire our young people to find or develop their love of reading. A big well done to all involved in getting this project to turn into a reality; a special thank you to the team at Cosy Garden Rooms, the PTA, Miss Tomlinson and MOTO Foundation.

  • Celebrating Pupil Artwork

  • Santa's Grotto - Christmas Fair

    Thank you to all the PTA and all others involved who got involved. We had another great turn out and raised lots of money for the PTA to fund the next goal. Children loved all the different activities on offer, including Story Time with Santa, the Bubble House and lots of different stalls to purchase things such as cakes and hand-made jewellery. 

    And a big thank you to Santa - of course!

  • Christmas Performance Donations

    As part of this year's Christmas Performances we will have donation pots out to raise money for Young Lives vs Cancer. All money raised will go towards charity instead of funding costumes and resources.

  • Christmas Fair - Friday 1st December 2023

    It is already that time of year again... Christmas is here! The PTA and school are hosting the annual Christmas Fair, it will take place this Friday 1st December 2023 between 5pm to 7pm. There are lots of fun activities for all the family including festive games, tombola, glitter tattoos and even some nice drinks for the adults. The raffle has lots of great prizes to be won. New for 2023 is Story Time with Santa in the grotto (taking place in the new reading lodge) and the Bubble House. 

    Entry to the fair is free. We hope to see you all on Friday!

  • Children in Need 2023

    All pupils and staff at Firfield got stuck into Children in Need, the whole school came together on the playground to set up stalls to raise money for charity. Pupils led their own stalls with some selling bakes, books and small toys and others selling services such as glitter tattoos and hair spray painting. It was lovely to see some of our older children supporting younger pupils. Thank you to all the staff and parents for helping put together a fantastic afternoon.
